Driftless area, Galena formation, mining, and mineralogy.<\/p>\n<p><em>Geo. Guide<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Day 3<\/strong>\u00a0Galena to Rosiclare \u2014Mainly a travel day and on-board study. 490 mi<\/p>\n<p>Overnight in Rosiclare or see * Day 4,5,6 at bottom of page.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Day 4<\/strong>\u00a0Rosiclare Tour the American Museum , lecture and visit Shawnee<\/p>\n<p>National Forest, flourite district, structured geology,<\/p>\n<p>mineralogy, igneous intrusions, etc\u00a0<em>Geo Guide<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Day 5 &amp; 6<\/strong>\u00a0Rosiclare to Marion\u2014Day and night tours of the Clement 43 mi<\/p>\n<p>Flourite Museum, day and night digs, many mining digsites.<\/p>\n<p>Marion promises to be a great event. Near Cave City,Ky. 200 mi<\/p>\n<p><strong>Day 8<\/strong>\u00a0Tour Mammoth Cave area\u2014no plans as of yet.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Day 9 &amp; 10<\/strong>\u00a0Cave City to Minneapolis 1000 mi<\/p>\n<p>* Days 4,5,6 Rosiclare, Ill and Marion, Ky. Are within 1 hr of each other. Ergo,<\/p>\n<p>overnight food and lodging can be acquired and we can base ourselves out of<\/p>\n<p>Rosiclare, Paducah, Eddyville, and \/or Marion.
